Challenge
This was the first shipment for our new client in Saudi Arabia (Bahri Logistics). We were selected for this project because of our expertise in handling OOG shipments and the competitive rate we can offer because of this. The main challenge on this shipment was in processing the customs formalities on the Saudi Arabian border (Batha border). The Saudi Royal Navy which is a part of Ministry of Defense and Aviation were the consignee and had to submit a copy of the customs duty exemption document prior to the arrival of the shipment. The document wasn’t arranged by the end user on time. Therefore, the customs process was delayed at the border before finally being obtained to complete the clearance formalities.
Process
The shipment from Sharjah was in transit as we scheduled and placed the low bed trailer for the loading in close coordination with the shipper. The trailer left Sharjah on the same day as the cargo was loaded and was in transit for 10 days reaching the delivery site before later offloading the boat. From the start of the project, we were monitoring the shipment from each and every point and closely coordinating with Bahri Logistics for their assistance to smooth the clearance process and delivery
Outcome
We were pleased to receive the information from Bahri Logistics that the shipment was handled professionally and that they will nominate Allseas Global Logistics Dubai for the next two boat shipments for the same client, which are expected by the end of March 2018.

We’ve successfully completed a further road shipment from the Sharjah Ind area to the Royal Saudi Naval Force in Jeddah, with a further 11 boat shipments to follow.
